The Lore of legends
It's a little fuzzy. Some of this could be totally wrong but parts may be right. It was 1997-98ish and CanYouDigit sneaker netted a set of discs over to TigerJ.. or maybe TigerJ picked this discs up under the reccomendation of CanYouDigit at the mall. See Digit recently got TigerJ into Red Alert 3 (of the Command and Conquer series). TigerJ had been playing civ2 against his father and Digit for some time as well.
I want to say there was once set of discs + the expansion pack and if you had the expansion pack you didn't need the OG discs. I believe this is how TigerJ ended up with the game but memories are like dreams. Back then it was ARM or go home. Defenders were OP killers (they hit land and air back in my day kiddo)
Overtime games came and games went, but ye ol' strategy game loves persisted in the feels of their hearts.
Digit had expiremented on and off with other strategy titles as did TigerJ. Digit checked out supreme commander, TigerJ played Planetary Annihilation for a bit which somehow disappeared from steam...
One day during the pandemic era of the United States, before WWIII, TigerJ decided to pay ol'Digit a visit in the Appalachia mmountains. Within his basement they both excitedly downloaded Total Annihilation on steam! However... the networking was total garbage with modern IPv6 addressess and other issues trying to get that old beauty out of the garage.
Due to substances they began to discuss all the other strategy games they had played over the last 22 years. TigerJ frustratedly drawing a blank began to search for modern Total Annihilation and other crazy googles. He was looking for Planetary Annihilation... but instead he found Beyond All Reason.. What is this...???!!?!?!?!?!???!?!
And this kiddos is the origin of the Clan SGS. The bestest clan ever.
